Philosophy Major

All courses applied toward a major in philosophy must receive a C or better. Students must also fulfill the University and College of Liberal Arts core requirements for a B.A. degree in Philosophy.

Requirements for a PHILOSOPHY MAJOR
The Philosophy Major consists of 30 semester hours (10 courses) of philosophy which must include:

Philosophy 301: History of Philosophy I
Philosophy 302: History of Philosophy II
Philosophy 319: Symbolic Logic
Philosophy 321: Ethics
Philosophy 324: Philosophical Analysis
Philosophy 497: Capstone Seminar
Any other 12 hours (4 courses) in Philosophy

Note that Philosophy 101 and Philosophy 103 may be used to satisfy elective hours in philosophy but are not required.
